Accessibility Statement
Our aim
This site is built to be usable by everyone, including people using a screen reader, navigating by keyboard, or relying on larger text or higher contrast. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA.
What we have done
- Text and background colours are checked for contrast, and colour is never the only way information is conveyed. Form errors are described in words, not just shown in red.
- Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and the focus outline is deliberately visible rather than removed.
- Headings follow a logical order so a screen reader can navigate the page structure.
- Frequently asked questions use native expandable elements, which work without JavaScript and are announced correctly.
- Images that carry meaning have alternative text. Decorative images are marked so that assistive technology skips them.
- Layouts reflow to a single column on small screens without horizontal scrolling, and text can be enlarged without breaking the page.
Where we know we fall short
To complete before launch: after a real audit, list the known gaps honestly and say when you intend to fix them. An accessibility statement claiming full conformance without an audit behind it is a liability rather than a reassurance, and it is exactly what a complaint will quote back.
