Common questions about retail store cleaning
Can you clean before opening or after closing?
Yes, and that is the usual arrangement. Both work. In a shopping centre we coordinate with centre management about service corridor access and loading, which we sort out at the walkthrough rather than on the first morning.
Do you clean fitting rooms?
Yes, every visit. Mirrors, seating, floors and any fixtures. Fitting rooms are one of the first things a customer judges a store on and one of the easiest to let slip, so they are explicitly in the scope rather than assumed.
How often should a retail store be cleaned?
Daily for most stores with regular footfall, particularly the entrance, floors and washrooms. Lower-traffic or appointment-based retail can often work on a few visits a week. Footfall drives it far more than floor area.
Do you clean shopping centre common areas?
We clean the units. Common areas, malls and shared washrooms are normally the centre's own contract, though we are happy to quote if the centre wants them included.
