Maria is the owner of Mater Cleaning Services and the person the company is named around. She is the point of contact for how the work is done, what is promised, and what happens when something is not right.

I started Mater because I was tired of hearing people say the cleaners never came back the same way twice. So we do the unglamorous things properly: we tell you when we are coming, we send the same team, we write the price down first, and if something is not right you tell us within 24 hours and we come back and put it right. That is the whole business.

What she is responsible for

• Walking properties and writing the quote, so the figure you agree is the figure you pay.
• Building the checklist for each property on the first visit, and adjusting it when a client says something matters more than we assumed.
• Keeping the same pair of cleaners on a property wherever scheduling allows.
• Answering anything raised within 24 hours of a clean, and arranging the return visit.
