Post-Construction and Renovation Cleaning
Post-construction cleaning is the final clean that turns a finished building site into a usable property: fine construction dust removed from every surface, residue and protective coverings cleared, fittings and glass detailed, and floors treated appropriately. It is quoted after a site visit, because condition varies enormously and no honest figure can be given without seeing it.
Construction dust is the whole job, and it is why post-construction cleaning cannot be priced like a normal clean. It is fine enough to settle into every horizontal surface, sit inside track and window channels, coat light fittings and vents, and it keeps resettling as air moves through the building. A single pass never finishes it. We work top to bottom in multiple passes, allow the air to settle between them, and only then detail glass and floors, because doing those first simply means doing them twice. If there is a fixed handover date, tell us at the site visit and we will staff to it.

How much does post-construction cleaning cost?
It depends on condition more than on size, which is why we will not quote it over the phone. Two identical properties can differ by double depending on how well the site was managed and how much dust was contained. We visit, then give you a fixed figure.
When should the clean happen?
After the last trade has finished and left. Cleaning while snagging, painting or fitting is still going on means paying for the same work twice, and we would rather tell you that than take the booking. We will help you sequence it at the site visit.
Why does it need more than one pass?
Fine construction dust is airborne and keeps resettling as air moves through the building. Cleaning once simply moves it around. We work in passes and let the air settle before detailing glass and floors, because those show every particle that lands afterwards.
Can you work to a handover deadline?
Yes, and tell us at the site visit rather than after. If there is a fixed date for a photographer, an inspection or a client handover, we staff the job to hit it, which usually means a larger crew over a shorter period.
