Bathroom and Shower Room Cleaning in Metro Atlanta
Bathroom cleaning treats one or more bathrooms as the whole booking. The work is chemical before it is physical, because limescale and soap residue are mineral deposits rather than dirt and will not yield to detergent. Screens, tiles, grout, silicone runs, taps, shower heads, the base of the toilet and the extractor vent all come in scope.
Most complaints about a bathroom are really complaints about chemistry. Hard water leaves calcium behind every time a droplet dries, soap reacts with it to form a film that clings to glass, and neither of those responds to scrubbing harder. They come off with an acidic product given time to work, which is a different tool and a different order of operations from anything else in a house. Grout and silicone are the other half of the story. Grout is porous and stains from within, so it can be brought back a long way and then no further. Silicone that has gone black is colonised rather than soiled, and the honest answer there is replacement by somebody who seals bathrooms.
What is included
- Shower screens taken back to clear glass, with the seals and the track
- Tiled walls washed and the grout lines worked rather than glossed over
- Baths, basins, pedestals and the sealant line where they meet the wall
- Taps, spouts and shower heads descaled, including the outlet holes
- Toilets inside and out, taking in the base, the fixings, the cistern and the hinges
- Extractor vent covers wiped and the grille cleared
- Mirrors, cabinets and glass shelving
- Floors washed into the corners and along the sealant
What is not included
- Mould remediation and anything behind tile or plasterboard, which is a specialist job
- Renewing silicone or regrouting, both of which are trade work
- Clearing a blocked drain, trap or waste pipe
- Removing a toilet seat, cistern lid or panel that is fixed in place
- Damage already etched into chrome, enamel or stone
Optional add-ons
Added to your quote only if you ask for them, and priced before the visit rather than after it.
How it works
- 1 We look at the glass first A shower screen tells you how much scale the property is dealing with.
- 2 We apply and wait Descaler needs dwell time, so the room is started early and returned to.
- 3 We work the lines Grout and sealant runs are done by hand, which is where the time goes.
- 4 We say what will not shift Etching, staining and perished silicone are named as such rather than quietly left.
What affects the price
Every quote is free and fixed after the walkthrough, or from the property details you provide. These are the things that move the figure.
- How many bathrooms are in the booking
- How hard the water is and how much scale has built up
- Whether the shower is over glass, over a bath or in a wet room
- The extent of the tiling and the length of the grout lines
- How long since anything acidic was last used on the surfaces
What matters most to Metro Atlanta clients
Homeowners and business owners across Metro Atlanta tend to care about the same three things when they hire a cleaning company. Here is how we approach each of them.
Showing up when we say we will
A cleaning you have to chase is worse than no cleaning at all. We confirm the window before the visit, we arrive inside it, and if something changes on our end you hear it from us first rather than finding out when nobody knocks.
The parts other people skip
Baseboards, the tops of door frames, the corner behind the bin, the inside of the microwave. We work from a checklist built around your property on the first visit, and we adjust it whenever you tell us something matters more than we assumed.
People you are comfortable letting in
Everyone who arrives is in a Mater uniform and can tell you exactly what was booked. Wherever scheduling allows we keep the same pair on your property, so you are not introducing strangers to your home or your building every few weeks.
Not happy with something? Tell us within 24 hours and we will come back and put it right.
Common questions about bathroom cleaning
Why will limescale not simply scrub off?
Because it is not resting on the surface, it has fused with it. Calcium comes out of solution as water evaporates and builds in layers, and abrasion mostly scratches the glass or chrome underneath before it touches the deposit. An acidic descaler dissolves it, which takes patience rather than force.
Can you get rid of black mould?
We clean surface growth on tile, grout and painted walls, which is often all that is visible. What we do not do is remediation. Black staining running through silicone, or growth returning through a wall, is a moisture problem and needs the cause fixed by somebody qualified to find it.
Will the grout ever look new again?
Rarely, and it is fairer to say so up front. Grout absorbs colour over years, so a thorough clean lifts it several shades and then stops. If you want it uniform beyond that point, it is a regrouting or colour-sealing job, and neither of those is cleaning.
Do you clean the extractor fan?
The cover and the visible grille, yes. The motor housing and the ducting behind it are wired in and belong to an electrician or a ventilation engineer. A cover clogged with lint is usually why a bathroom stays damp, so it is worth having done.
