Event Cleaning Before, During and After

Event work splits into three jobs that get booked as one: presenting a space before guests arrive, holding washrooms and circulation areas in order while the event runs, and resetting the venue afterwards. Private parties, weddings, corporate functions and hired venues all follow that shape. The finish time is usually written into your hire agreement, so the crew is sized against the deadline rather than the floor area.

Read the venue agreement before you book anybody, because it decides most of what we are allowed to do. Hired venues almost always define a vacate time, state whether waste leaves with you or goes into their own stream, and reserve certain areas entirely to house staff. Marquees, halls and members' clubs each draw those lines differently, and a crew that arrives without knowing them ends up standing about. The agreement also governs the clock. A vacate time is not a target, it is the point after which somebody is charged, so a reset is planned in reverse from it with the slowest task placed first. Send us the document at the enquiry and we will scope inside it.

What is included

  • A pre-event pass over the rooms guests will actually see, timed close to doors opening
  • Washrooms checked and restocked on a stated interval while the event runs
  • Circulation areas, entrances and glass kept clear as people move through
  • Spills dealt with as they happen rather than at the end
  • Tables cleared and surfaces reset between sittings where the brief calls for it
  • A full post-event reset covering floors, furniture and fittings
  • Waste gathered and taken to the point the venue nominates
  • A finish confirmed against the vacate time in your agreement

What is not included

  • Bar service, glass collection during service and anything belonging to your caterer or bar staff
  • Taking waste off site, which stays with the venue or your hire company
  • Dismantling marquees, staging, lighting rigs or hired furniture
  • Handling licensed premises stock, tills or cash
  • Anything the venue reserves to its own team under your contract

Optional add-ons

Added to your quote only if you ask for them, and priced before the visit rather than after it.

An overnight reset where the venue is needed again in the morning A second crew to bring a hard vacate time within reach Additional washroom rounds through a long evening Glassware and crockery washing where the venue kitchen is available to us Floor treatment once the room is clear A next-morning check before the venue is handed back

How it works

  1. 1 We read the venue agreement Vacate times, waste rules and the areas reserved to house staff, before anything is priced.
  2. 2 We split the three phases Pre-event presentation, in-event cover and the reset are scoped and staffed separately.
  3. 3 We plan backwards from the deadline The last task sets the start time, rather than the other way round.
  4. 4 We hand the room back Walked with you or the venue manager, so nothing is disputed the following week.

What affects the price

Every quote is free and fixed after the walkthrough, or from the property details you provide. These are the things that move the figure.

  • Guest numbers and how long the event runs
  • Whether you need cover before, during, after or all three
  • The vacate time and how firm it is
  • Whether the venue permits us to use its facilities
  • Floor surfaces and how much of the space is in scope
  • Access, parking and loading at the venue
Our standard

What matters most to Metro Atlanta clients

Homeowners and business owners across Metro Atlanta tend to care about the same three things when they hire a cleaning company. Here is how we approach each of them.

Showing up when we say we will

A cleaning you have to chase is worse than no cleaning at all. We confirm the window before the visit, we arrive inside it, and if something changes on our end you hear it from us first rather than finding out when nobody knocks.

The parts other people skip

Baseboards, the tops of door frames, the corner behind the bin, the inside of the microwave. We work from a checklist built around your property on the first visit, and we adjust it whenever you tell us something matters more than we assumed.

People you are comfortable letting in

Everyone who arrives is in a Mater uniform and can tell you exactly what was booked. Wherever scheduling allows we keep the same pair on your property, so you are not introducing strangers to your home or your building every few weeks.

Not happy with something? Tell us within 24 hours and we will come back and put it right.

Common questions about event cleaning

Do you work during the event itself?

Yes, if it is booked that way. In-event cover is mostly washrooms, entrance glass, circulation floors and spills, handled discreetly and on an interval you set. It is a separate booking from the reset afterwards and is usually the one people forget to arrange.

Can you finish by the time we have to be out?

That is the question the whole quote turns on, so give us the vacate time first. We plan backwards from it and, where the hours do not add up, we put more people on the job instead of promising an hour we cannot hold. If it is genuinely not achievable we will say so.

Who deals with the rubbish?

We gather it and take it to whatever point the venue nominates. Carrying waste off site is a licensed activity and it normally sits with the venue or your hire company under the terms of your booking. Check the agreement and tell us which applies.

Do you clean private homes after a party?

Often, and it is one of the more common bookings. A house after sixty people is glassware, floors, one very hard-worked bathroom and a kitchen. We can come once the last guest has gone, or first thing the following morning, whichever suits the household.
